Welcome to the field notes
  • Posts are short, specific, and shipped when there's something worth saying.
  • Three streams: Fractional AI Officer, AI Content Factory, and Strategy.
  • Everything here is built from real engagements, not theory.

Why this exists

Most marketing blogs are written for the algorithm. This one is written for operators: founders, CMOs, and growth leads who need answers that work on Monday morning.

If I can't measure it, I won't sell it. The same rule applies to what gets published here.

The categories aren't arbitrary. Each one maps to an engagement I actually run:

  • Fractional AI Officer: what it looks like to lead AI implementation as a part-time executive.
  • AI Content Factory: productized video at 600+ assets per month, the systems behind it.
  • Strategy: the boring fundamentals that compound, positioning, retention, channel mix.

What to expect

Posts will be specific. Numbers from real accounts, scrubbed where needed. No "10 ways to grow your DTC brand" listicles.

Cadence is irregular by design. A long post every two or three weeks beats a thin post every week.

Stream Format Typical length
Fractional AI Officer Case study or framework 1,500–2,500 words
AI Content Factory Build log or teardown 1,000–1,800 words
Strategy Short essay 800–1,200 words

If something here saves you a quarter of pain, that's the goal.

Founders, CMOs, and growth leads at DTC brands on Shopify doing $2M–$50M in revenue. If you're earlier or larger, some of it will still apply, but the worked examples are calibrated to that range.

How often will you publish?

Roughly every two to three weeks. New posts are announced via the email list at the bottom of the page. No spam, just the post link.

Can I republish or quote this?
